Science in the National Curriculum

About the conference

The Department of Education has recently launched a complete review of the National Curriculum in England.  A call for evidence was launched on 20 January and closes on 14 April 2011.

The SCORE event, held on 21 March, provided a timely opportunity for participants to discuss evidence relating to science in the National Curriculum. The event did not seek to reach a consensus, but enabled participants to share key issues from their own organisation's response and/or to contribute their views to others submitting responses.

A summary report of the conference will be made available early April.

Pre-reading material

SCORE commissioned a series of thought pieces on science in the National Curriculum.  These pieces were specifically written to help structure and inform each of the discussion sessions at the conference.
